Scott W. Vachal, CFP®

Scott became an advisor by first handling the family’s finances and estate planning after his father died.  He experienced firsthand the challenges of losing a loved one, managing financial issues and the value of sound planning.  As he worked through these issues, he realized he could fulfill the same need for other individuals and families.  He began to build his professional career to help individuals and their families realize their financial, investment and estate planning goals.  Scott established his independent financial planning business in 2002.

Scott graduated from Georgetown University with an Executive Certificate in Financial Planning in 2004 and soon after passed the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards examination and requirements to become a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant.

Scott specializes in retirement and estate planning. He is an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR) and holds licenses for Series 7 Securities and Life & Health Insurance.

In 1981, Scott graduated from Rutgers Graduate School of Management (MBA) with a concentration in Quantitative Studies. He has been an independent consultant or employee for business, government and banking concerns, including AT&T, Dun & Bradstreet and the United States Senate for financial, technology and management issues.

Away from the office, Scott is an avid sailor.
